The Community Uplifting Alliance Project is a regional non-profit organization founded in 2001 to help all Barnwell, Bamberg, Hampton and Orangeburg County residents gain access to affordable housing, decent jobs, and to develop a sense of security. Community Uplifting Alliance Project does housing repair to qualified home owners, provides affordable rental housing,  utilities and emergency assistance, and supports the Arts and education.
