Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina

The Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina is a registered 501(c)(3), governed by a board of sixteen community leaders and is open to all girls ages 5-17. The council currently serves 21 counties including Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Beaufort, Berkeley, Calhoun, Charleston, Clarendon, Chesterfield, Colleton, Darlington, Dillon, Dorchester, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Orangeburg, and Williamsburg. Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina (GSESC) is a chartered council of Girl Scouts of the USA, whose mission is to build girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place. Today, GSESC serves over 3,000 girls and 2,500 adult members. Through ongoing programs in leadership development, science and technology, entrepreneurship and financial literacy, community service, and environmental awareness, Girl Scouting provides girls with opportunities to build skills and confidence, try new things, cultivate friendships, connect with their communities, and practice leadership skills.
